Pixl Grid collects and stores the following information when you use our service:
- Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials (via Google OAuth or email/password)
- Website Bookmarks: URLs, titles, descriptions, and logos of websites you save
- Visual Content: Images and videos you save from websites (URLs and metadata)
- Task Data: Todo list items you create
- User Preferences: Dashboard settings, background images, theme preferences
- Usage Data: Click tracking on dashboard items, last access times
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the Pixl Grid service
- Sync your data across devices
- Authenticate your account and ensure security
- Send you feature announcements and updates (with your consent)
- Improve our service and develop new features
- Provide customer support
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Neon PostgreSQL (serverless database) with SSL encryption.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access,
alteration, or disclosure.
- All passwords are hashed using bcrypt encryption
- Database connections use SSL/TLS encryption
- Authentication tokens use JWT with 7-day expiration
- API endpoints require authentication
4. Third-Party Services
Pixl Grid integrates with the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth: For authentication (subject to Google's Privacy Policy)
- OpenWeatherMap API: For weather data (no personal data shared)
- Vercel: For hosting and deployment
- Neon Database: For secure data storage
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Chrome Extension Permissions
The Pixl Grid Chrome Extension requires the following permissions:
- storage: To store authentication tokens and user preferences locally
- contextMenus: To add "Save to Pixl Grid" right-click menu option
- activeTab: To detect images on the current webpage
- Host permissions (<all_urls>): To enable image saving from any website
The extension only accesses webpage content when you actively click to save an image.
We do not track your browsing history or access content without your explicit action.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
We automatically create backups of your data (last 3 backups kept) to prevent accidental data loss.
Upon account deletion, all your data and backups will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Pixl Grid uses local storage and session storage to maintain your login session and cache dashboard data
for faster loading. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data
- Opt-out of marketing communications
9. Children's Privacy
Pixl Grid is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child
under 13, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by
posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
